I was listening to Rubber Soul <br />while reading poetry and <br />poets' self-written biographies <br />(which I think, by definition, are actually <br />autobiographies) and <br />I thought about a Vietnamese poet <br />whom I have read a lot <br />and then about <br />John Lennon and <br />George Harrison <br />and then <br />I couldn't handle it anymore. <br /> <br />Afterwards, <br />I blew my nose, <br />looked for and got Help! , <br />re-started my computer, <br />which was making <br />not-so-funny noises, <br />wrote this and wondered <br /> <br />Is it another piece of shit <br />or am I just falling apart again - <br />or both? <br /> <br />God, I could use a shower <br />(and it's cloudy outside too) . <br /> <br />As an afterthought or three, <br />my computer is nice and quiet now <br />and my new medicine is <br />kicking in. <br /> <br />I'm taking a few deep breaths and <br />telling myself, <br />'Calm down, dude.' <br /> <br />And the lyrics end: <br />'What you see is me.'<br /><br />Jeffrey Philip Clegg<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-broken-warrior-reigns-again/
