By not being cognizant of how much I ate, <br />Like so many others, I became overweight, <br />And, in dieting, I was so proficient at cheating, <br />I decided to attend a weight control meeting, <br />With losses or gains recorded, week after week, <br />As a human, I'm on or off program, so to speak, <br />Always conscious of the waistline's ebb and flow, <br />It's going well if I weigh less than six months ago, <br />And, as peculiar as this poem honestly sounds, <br />Over the last three years, I've lost sixty pounds, <br />I have twenty more pounds to lose to be at goal, <br />Hopefully it will happen in my lifetime, bless my soul.<br /><br />Richard Clayton<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-therapy-group-session/
