a single droplet of rain,
trickles freely down my window pane,
stopping for a few frozen seconds,
as if mapping out its next move.

it leaves a little wet trail behind,
like the jet stream of a plane.
there i lay transfixed by the simple,
beauty of it all,
the luxury of warmth and shelter,
enable me to enjoy such a sight.
on such a cold cold night.

on the pavement little sky bombs,
beat down in there millions,
washing the days pains away,
beside me your tired brain,
is probally on its third movie,
your flickering eyes,
and sudden deep breaths,
you look so lovely in your sleep.

words so many words,
playing hide and seek,
in my head,
drip drip drip,
dribble dribble dribble,
goes the rain on the pane,
slowly my eyes,
surrender to the whispering,
will of the night,
as the rain beats on and on.
its soothing song,
sweetly seranading me
till morning does come.

Not Long Left

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/rain-on-my-window-pane-late-at-night/
