A rubber duck, of colour pink <br />was having fun inside a sink. <br />The water was enriched with soap <br />which was suspended by a rope. <br /> <br />The sink was near a pane of glass <br />and through this window waved green grass. <br />Outside, a Real duck was thinking <br />that living birds would all be sinking <br /> <br />and fade into a new dimension <br />because they need their surface tension. <br />Had he been tempted with an itch <br />to go inside the house to switch <br /> <br />his place with that pink phony duck..... <br />his intellect now brought him luck. <br />So, you can see, my little kiddoes, <br />and bachelors and lonely widows, <br /> <br />it pays to learn, and he, who thinks <br />can stay away from soapy sinks.<br /><br />Herbert Nehrlich<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/surface-tension/
