A tear fell in Heaven, <br />Whenever you felt alone. <br />And for every tear you cried, <br />Another fell upon a throne. <br /> <br />Life wasn’t always kind, <br />In your pursuit of love. <br />And when you didn’t find it, <br />Another tear fell above. <br /> <br />Then you came into our lives, <br />And finally found your way. <br />We all fell in love with you, <br />You brought sunshine to our day. <br /> <br />You had such an innocence, <br />It was so much like a child. <br />You brought joy to our lives, <br />With the jolly way you smiled. <br /> <br />But your time with us was brief, <br />In a moment you were gone. <br />And it is a darker day <br />That greets us with the dawn. <br /> <br />For God has called you home, <br />Your labors here are through. <br />And someday we may learn, <br />To go on without you. <br /> <br />But we’ll miss you dear friend, <br />Your great girth and bouncy sway. <br />We will keep you in our hearts, <br />Till we meet again one day. <br /> <br />Now tears fall here on Earth, <br />For sorrow is our leaven. <br />But from now on, there will be <br />No more tears in Heaven.<br /><br />Sara Stowell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/no-more-tears-in-heaven/
