Mirrors are reflections
Reflections on reflections
X-rays and hindsight
Viewers of light

Mirrors show what’s there
And also what is not
Mirrors can have a glare
Yet give you a clear shot

Mirrors are frightening
Bluntly enlightening
Mirrors are safety
Use any lately?

I get up every day
And I look and see
It’s sad but I have to say
That this is what I really be

The mirror doesn’t lie
Even if it wants to try
Or is it the biased eye?
‘Cause staring back is only one guy

Mirrors show
Only one single vision
But I know
It lacks perception precision

For I see only me
And you see what I wish to be
Never before do I see so true
So how can I look so different to you?

A question begins to grow
It comes from inside deep
More and more I need to know
Out of me it starts to creep

If you see what I see
When I look at me
How can you say you will
Look at me and love me still?

It’s made me think
When you look and see
Only one will blink
So you better like what you see

You see in me what I see in your eyes
And I feel like I’m one of the luckiest guys
So thanks so much ‘cause now every day
I can look in the mirror and still be OK

Charles Tomar

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/mirrors-11/
