What really happens when we die <br />Do you ever stop to wonder <br />Or like me, admit you're frightened <br />And put it out of your mind <br />Do and think of other things <br />Is there really a kingdom of Heaven <br />Or Hell, for those who have been bad <br />Isn't it all rather hypocritical to believe in <br />An all forgiving God for us <br />But a firey Hell for others <br />Or is like the Buddists believe <br />We die to be re-born again <br />If only this were true <br />And we could remember our past lives <br />Perhaps then we'd all be better behaved <br />No more wars, but more wisdom, less hate <br />Or is it just The End, that's it <br />Over, done with, you're finished <br />This life, is it all we get <br />If you truly know the answer <br />Would you please let me know.<br /><br />Marilyn Shepperson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/what-happens/
