A somber stroll through parks delight, <br />Taking notice of natures landscape, <br />Ducks of summer, prepare winters arrival, <br />As I stroll, I ponder the lonesome walk... <br /> <br />Reflection of things today and futures hold, <br />reminiscent of ones lonely walk of yesterday, <br />A sadden heart......by deceptions hurt <br />of a simple plan not comprehend. <br /> <br />As his lonely walk commence with step, <br />Simple truths he would voice unaccepted, <br />Continually dealing with the murmur and complacency <br />of blinding eyes that just would not see... <br /> <br />He who had all placed in palm of hand, <br />Was seen in company of known harlot, <br />The well to do would scorn such action, <br />yet his heart filled a much greater need. <br /> <br />Imagine The simple plan of his love, <br />continually they pick and tare apart.. <br />yet the simple truth of love he shares <br />is a path of chose not of demand..... <br /> <br />Reflecting upon his lonesome walk, <br />and the continual rejection of his voice.. <br />has filled my heart with joyous sorrow <br />Yet comprehension of my own stroll<br /><br />Geoff Warden<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-lonely-walk/
