A high-water mark in the process of growing up <br />is the dread realization that the world is not <br />cut and dried anymore. <br />A child sees the world from <br />a tiny peephole which somehow <br />shuts out confusion and the the <br />downright messiness of the “adult” life. <br />It’s a pity it doesn’t last. <br />But eventually we have to face our first <br />true conflict.
