Good evening my snow angel; <br />I am your gallant white knight <br />who's come to save you from dwindling hopes. <br />I bring with me my star lit love <br />as well as your infinite merriment. <br /> <br />We’ll start by sharing glorified biographies; <br />Ones that are rehearsed and safe guarded <br />in an attempt to gain each other’s acceptance. <br />But as the conversation deepens, <br />missing pieces of our life’s puzzles, <br />will unveil like a new painting in an art exhibit. <br /> <br />Next our ethereal voices <br />will sing in perfect harmony <br />in the pleasant summer nightfall for our taking; <br />Where the mixed aroma of our scents <br />will melt us internally <br />and meld us into one. <br /> <br />The moon will be our inspiration, <br />the fire will be our basis of connection, <br />and the sound of locust <br />will secure us in its quilt of association. <br />We will interpret borrowed verses, <br />enlighten our unconventional minds, <br />and shelter one another <br />in nestled arms of serenity. <br /> <br />After my confidence reaches its eminent peak, <br />I will brush your candy apple lips <br />with a sublime kiss <br />that will paint your virtuous face garden pink. <br />We will share the moment evermore <br />in the pinnacle of our jubilant evening. <br /> <br />The evening will end with us exchanging hearts. <br />But be sure to love mine like it were your own; <br />It has been weathered by distress <br />as well as forlorn romance. <br /> <br />So close your eyes and take my hand <br />and we’ll embark on the journey <br />into The Elysium of My Love.<br /><br />Michael Fischer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-elysium-of-my-love/
