Dreams are mysterious and strange. <br />Unexpectedly, they intrude restful sleep. <br />What is the significance of their display? <br />My speculating interpretations take a leap. <br /> <br />Do the spontaneous images have meaning? <br />Do they predict the future or reflect the past? <br />Can they determine the rotation of the world? <br />Is there a guiding light beyond the shadow cast? <br /> <br />Perhaps dreams are a reflection of spent deeds… <br />Earlier actions can place impressions on the brain. <br />Later, to resurface from the depths of repression… <br />Reminding the mind of questions that remain. <br /> <br />Flashing and streaking images with sensations. <br />Unresolved emotions that can stir inner feeling. <br />Why can’t I easily explain and/or understand? <br />I search for the answers, as I stare at the ceiling. <br /> <br />Perhaps dreams reach for expectations in life… <br />Anticipating something that is only imagined. <br />Maybe dreams can motivate or simply captivate. <br />Gradually, roused images are slowly abandoned…<br /><br />Theresa Ann Moore<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/interpretation-of-dreams/
