There is nothing quite as brilliant <br />As sun on a red dirt hill <br />The peacefulness surrounds me <br />As I hear a songbird’s trill <br /> <br />For so many things, you know <br />Do not cost a single thing <br />They are there when we awaken <br />And by nightfall they still remain <br /> <br />A magnificent looming windmill <br />Against the clear blue sky <br />Tranquility warms my heart <br />And I never wonder why <br /> <br />The sun often surprises <br />By morning and by night <br />Clear and plain it’s beauty <br />Makes everything seem right <br /> <br />Peacefulness just amazes <br />And nothing feels so good <br />Is it God, or is it nature? <br />It isn’t always understood!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/peacefulness/
