A worn and tired church I saw <br />Love and prayers had been within <br />The beauty was so apparent <br />It seemed like life could have no sin <br /> <br />Suddenly I saw my world <br />So pleasant to my eye <br />I felt God’s heavenly presence <br />And I will tell you why <br /> <br />I heard the church bells ringing <br />And felt Gods touch from up above <br />For nature is His golden gift <br />So filled with all His love <br /> <br />As autumn turns the corner <br />And winter on its way <br />The leaves are dying in its wake <br />For nothing can ever stay <br /> <br />Hills and ponds and trees <br />He gave to us with love <br />The precious little animals <br />The robins, blue jays and doves <br /> <br />God gives us gifts we do not see <br />But it’s apparent everywhere <br />So smile at all the heavenly sites <br />And thank God in your daily prayer!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/gifts-from-god/
