I wish this was my backyard <br />For it’s the perfect place for me <br />It’s beautiful and quite amazing <br />And it’s filled with tranquility <br /> <br />There’s a pond with beautiful fish <br />Swimming amongst lily pads <br />As I sit and watch the beauty <br />I am never ever feeling sad <br /> <br />Beautiful fountains too adorn <br />This backyard and the sound <br />Of the trickling water so refreshing <br />Surrounded by a well-kept ground <br /> <br />A quaint little bridge takes me <br />Right up to the back door <br />So many unique adornments <br />For all visitors to explore <br /> <br />It’s truly a place of wonderment <br />I think you would agree <br />If this were my backyard <br />I would invite you to visit me!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/backyard-visit/
