Sometimes I wonder <br />thinking about life <br />Why we are here <br />amongst the troubles and strife <br /> <br />Why there are wars <br />the hatred and fear <br />The suffering of others <br />and the ones we hold dear <br /> <br />I think to myself <br />what madness here lies <br />in this earthly sphere <br />it hurts my eyes <br /> <br />Then I see someone <br />lending a hand <br />to a complete stranger <br />and it wasn’t planned <br /> <br />Wasn’t done for reward <br />or any type of pay <br />a smile and a thanks <br />was enough to convey <br /> <br />The brotherhood of man <br />Is still going strong <br />Its our spiritual family <br />to which we all belong <br /> <br />It doesn’t matter <br />about our colour or creed <br />or even our faith <br />when we help another in need<br /><br />Janice Walkden<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/spiritual-family/
