I had A friend whose name is anonyomous <br />We used to be best friend to the end <br />All that changed as we grew older <br />This is how the story began. <br /> <br />We called each other everyday <br />We were called gossip queens <br />We talked about boys we thought were cute <br />and boys that were just plain mean <br /> <br />We went to a party together one day <br />But my friend was out of sight <br />I asked her why she left me <br />and it ended in a fight <br /> <br />Ever since then we havent been that close <br />Being best friends was now just a dream <br />She hardly spoke to me anymore <br />instead she hung out with the drama queens <br /> <br />Now I think back to that silly little dream of mine <br />And remember what my dad always said <br />But I never really listened <br />Just rolled my eyes and shook my head <br /> <br />Now I understand my dad <br />Unfourtunately I learned the hard way <br />But all the advice he gives <br />Is in my mind to stay <br /> <br />Now that you heard my story <br />I guess its safe to say <br />Friends dont always last forever <br />But love and cherish them anyway<br /><br />Elmo Gurl<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/friends-dont-always-last-forever/
