A hole New Year’s a commin <br />So I sat down with my pen <br />Made me some Rezolushuns <br />(Yep, I’ll try them out again) <br /> <br />This year I’ll try to get a tiny spot less fat <br />Wife says she’d like if I kept less under my hat <br />So I will try to do more sharin <br />Of each day’s load I’m bearin <br />And of course try to do less swearin <br />(Hell, that kinda shit goes without bein said) <br /> <br />I wanna save more money <br />So’s as I can buy nice things for my honey <br />And when some guy’s jokes ain’t quite funny <br />I’ll politely smile and nod my head <br /> <br />I’ll try to work much harder <br />At makin a dollar goin farther <br />Knowing that I oughta <br />Save for them rainy days ahead <br /> <br />I’ll put my coat up on the hanger <br />Try not to speak in anger <br />And be a gentlemen if I bang her <br />When we get into the bed <br /> <br />I’m a lucky man I know it <br />So I’ll live my live so’s to show it <br />(Gee, I wonder if I’ll blow it <br />Before these words get read?) <br /> <br />End of this poem.
