When I dream I take reality, <br />Then twist it as I like. <br />Until everything is perfect, <br />There's no problems, or worries, or strife. <br />I dream of distant lands, <br />Upon the snow white clouds. <br />Where jewels drip from trees, <br />Where every song is sung aloud. <br />Life is simple and easy, <br />I haven't a care in the world. <br />But when dawn comes, <br />My eyes flick open, and the easy life is gone. <br />I'm left on my own, <br />But somehow, it doesn't seem so different. <br />When I step outside, <br />Dew drips from the trees, and I smile. <br />The clouds are still as white as snow, <br />And I sing happily aloud.<br /><br />Niamh Gold<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dream-or-reality-2/
