Oh, love me mother, I’m your son! <br />Oh, spare me father, this isn’t fun; <br />Oh, love me siblings, do not run; <br />Oh, save me God, I’m fully done! <br /> <br />My room is watery and quite dark; <br />I look now big and naked-stark; <br />I yearn to make my first cry soon; <br />I will not be a bane but boon! <br /> <br />The space is insufficient here; <br />I want to breathe like earthlings, air; <br />I want to see my parents dear; <br />I wish to feel their love and care. <br /> <br />Don’t flowers blossom in the wild? <br />My home, can I not so adorn? <br />I dreamt, I am an unborn child; <br />Oh, please allow me to be born! <br /> <br />I am a fully-grown fetus; <br />I wish to leave the uterus; <br />Let me not turn an abortus; <br />We beg you earthlings: ‘Don’t kill us! ’ <br /> <br />My heart is sorrow, anguish-filled; <br />My neck is cut and head is drilled; <br />My pleas go wasted- I am killed; <br />Unborn, I die as if man-willed! <br /> <br />What tragedy has struck me fast! <br />Murdered in womb, I breathe my last; <br />I heard God call me by sweet name; <br />O God, forgive their sin of shame! <br /> <br />‘Each child’s a precious living doll, <br />That wants your love and not a pall; <br />God loves to forgive sinners all; <br />Repent; amend and heed His call! ’ <br /> <br />Copyright by Dr John Celes 1-28-2008<br /><br />Dr John Celes<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/infanticide-infunticide/
