I never thought I could scream, <br />yet I never thought I would dream. <br /> <br />In my life I've been struggling, <br />always fighting always hurting. <br /> <br />I solemnly swore I won't let them see me get hurt, <br />But with my heart on fire I always got burnt. <br /> <br />I had a vision I used to believe, <br />now all I am left with is tears and shattered dreams. <br /> <br />Then something was taken from me, <br />It was the ability to simply be me. <br /> <br />Threatened, with a gun held to my face, <br />Fearful as my family is gone with out a trace. <br />I ask myself, O' where thy promised grace. <br /> <br />In that vision I used to believe. <br />Then I realize it's all gone I can't help but to grieve, <br /> <br />What have you done loudly I say, <br />All I wanted was peace and a place to pray. <br /> <br />And now all I do is screaming <br />Cause I even lost the right of dreaming… <br /> <br />A little Tribute to all the suffering children out there.. <br />God Bless and guide those who are in war may they find peace once again.<br /><br />Nina Ali<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-heart-felt-scream-of-child-s-broken-dream/
