How foolish are the worldly wise <br />In shame they sing the devil’s lies <br />Sharing his wine his rotten bread <br />Chanting his songs whilst walking dead <br /> <br /> <br />To glorify God’s name in praise <br />The truth is taught since ancient days <br />God gave to man His songs to sing <br />To soar above on eagle’s wing <br /> <br /> <br />Lift joyful hearts sing out in love <br />Let praise arise upon The Dove <br />Heaven and earth will take delight <br />When God receives love songs in flight <br /> <br /> <br />Heaven’s angels may never sing <br />Songs of Zion to God The King <br />Only redeemed may thus rejoice <br />So lift your head and raise your voice <br /> <br /> <br />Look neither left nor to the right <br />Singing in love with all your might <br />Sing as you walk our Groom to greet <br />Sing to God at Jesus’ feet <br /> <br /> <br />Sing out long or just a while <br />Let all we sing bring God a smile <br />His blessings surely fill the earth <br />So sing in Christ for all you’re worth <br /> <br /> <br />Let every child of God by choice <br />Lift high your heads and raise your voice <br />Alone in truth let voices ring <br />For only truth will please our King <br /> <br /> <br />So heed each song you choose to rise <br />Be faithful true and always wise <br />With heart and soul give praise today <br />God’s singer of songs won’t see decay<br /><br />Michael P.
