To live as a friend of the bridegroom <br />To seek to serve His interest not mine <br />To advance His cause behind the scenes <br />To work behind Him to serenade Him <br />To showcase Him at every opportunity <br />To keep Him on the foreground always <br />Seeking only those qualities that resonate <br />With His passion, His love, His kindness <br /> <br />That my being may point His direction <br />And thru life’s activity, leisure or labor <br />Every endeavor, every word or action <br />A smile, a greeting or even a handshake <br />That a glance, a laugh, or hug in no way <br />Works to vitiate His glory or His beauty <br />Nor serve to divert attention from Him <br /> <br />I stand here a friend of the bridegroom <br />To labor each day for this purpose alone <br />And all my gifts and abilities to His honor <br />To reflect His beauty and His praise alone <br />To aver in my conversation and gestures <br />A character that holds His name in glory <br />An attitude that reflects His excellence <br />And through this life’s chaotic experience <br />A heart emblazon with love and integrity<br /><br />Oyekake Satty (O.
