Be wary child before a storm <br />What wisdom has to tell <br />From foolish thoughts may Satan form <br />A step to darkest hell <br /> <br />How swift your words may cause a fall <br />May danger someone’s life <br />May hinder some who hear my call <br />And lead to needless strife <br /> <br />Your tongue could turn a brother’s mind <br />Like rudders ships at sea <br />Can lead astray make neighbours blind <br />And hinder serving me <br /> <br />Think well, think true, then think again <br />Before a word you speak <br />Before you cause your brother pain <br />Or make another weak <br /> <br />Think as a groom think of your bride <br />Think of the love you’d share <br />Think of a room with Christ inside <br />And how you’d speak in there <br /> <br />Think of your tongue is like a sword <br />Or knife behind a veil <br />Speak as you would before Your Lord <br />Wary to end in jail <br /> <br />Speak love dear child and speak to heal <br />Consider what you say <br />That Light one day will all reveal <br />That’s said in any Way <br /> <br />Be strong my child be no one’s fool <br />Let wisdom be your guide <br />In Jesus’ hand become a tool <br />Before life’s last divide<br /><br />Michael P.
