Scarlet the sunrise as morning is breaking, <br />I wake to the sound of the birds as they sing, <br />Flying above in the skies of such wonder, <br />I join in their songs and the joy that they bring, <br />Carry me forth to the arms of my loved one, <br />I hope she is waiting to welcome me home, <br />I'll follow the sun to wherever it takes me, <br />Over the hills and the country I'll roam. <br /> <br />Casting aside all the pain and the burdens, <br />My future seems clear and I know where to go, <br />For I cannot live if my life is without you, <br />The rivers of love shall eternally flow, <br />Winding through valleys and all of their beauty, <br />Remind me so much of the time we did share, <br />Those days I remember with so much affection, <br />I never stopped loving and shall always care. <br /> <br />Scarlet the sunset as evening is falling, <br />Soon stars up above will be guiding my way, <br />The hush of the darkness the still of the night-time, <br />A chill's in the air at the end of the day, <br />I need to rest but my dreams will continue, <br />I'll picture I'm with you and always are mine, <br />My heart once so empty is now overflowing, <br />With passion forever in love so divine.<br /><br />ANDREW BLAKEMORE<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/scarlet-the-sunrise/
