We’re saved by grace and called to stand <br />As Jesus’ chosen few <br />Yet some would rise with sword in hand <br />Against a brother Jew <br /> <br />Crying like fools “They killed The Lord” <br />“Of life they’ll take no part” <br />Whilst “all” mankind have borne the sword <br />And pierced Jesus’ heart <br /> <br />We all have sinned and fallen short <br />We all have disobeyed <br />We all have doubted Christ’s report <br />And full of shame have strayed <br /> <br />Our God had Jesus crucified! <br />The Lord on Heaven’s throne <br />That Christ on earth be glorified <br />To heal our hearts of stone <br /> <br />Jesus a Jew bore all our sin <br />A Jew yet God’s true Son <br />A Jew without yet God within <br />Through whom life’s fight is won <br /> <br />From those entrusted with The Word <br />In whom God’s Lamb was born <br />Came Truth and Light we’ve seen and heard <br />Bringing Salvation’s dawn <br /> <br />Were Mathew, Mark and Luke not Jews? <br />Weren’t Peter John and Paul? <br />Do these not speak to church filled pews? <br />To hearts who’ve heard The Call <br /> <br />When to these facts we humbly bow <br />When truly born anew <br />Then Abraham’s our father now <br />And Jews are family too<br /><br />Michael P.
