The smallest of God's creatures, <br />Create their tightest bonds. <br />They curl inside their self made homes, <br />And share God's purpose for them around. <br /> <br />Some form their bonds in armies, <br />Some in schools, flocks and prides. <br />But the neatest one I've ever seen, <br />Comes bonded Butterfly life inside. <br /> <br />Their home is made of finest silk, <br />Some used to make dresses and shirts. <br />And some of them live in the ground, <br />In their homes beneath the dirt. <br /> <br />Mans' bond I am sorry to say, <br />Sometimes hold is not that strong. <br />Some kill and hurt, and get divorced, <br />Shredding all bonds that were formed. <br /> <br />Children go with Mothers', <br />Fathers' left out in the cold. <br />Fighting for their survival, <br />Some dieing of broken hearts I'm told. <br /> <br />We need to take a lesson in life, <br />From those tighter natured bonds we see. <br />This is man's only hope, bonding tighter our legacy.<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/smallest-of-god-s-creatures/
