10 years down the road, <br />I've married my special someone. <br />Oh my how I love her, <br />Our love was the best. <br />Then came the child <br />That we were blessed with. <br /> <br />5 years further down. <br />On a dark and lonly night, <br />I just kissed my sweet little angel, <br />and said, 'Good night, sleep tight.' <br /> <br />During the night I heard her scream, <br />I rushed into her room only to find that she had been taken. <br />Kidnapped right from her own bed. <br />I called the police! ! <br /> <br />The next day, they found her, <br />Or only that which was left. <br />They said that she had been raped, <br />and then murdered. <br /> <br />As soon as I heard that, <br />I burst into tears thinking, <br />Last that I said to her was, 'Good night, sleep tight.' <br />I can't believe I wasn't able to say, <br /> <br />'I love you baby girl.' <br />If only you knew how much I miss her, <br />Not only me, but you as well, would be in tears. <br />So now I will put myself to sleep once and for all. <br /> <br />Good night, please don't wake me up in the morning.<br /><br />Dylan Griffin<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/good-night-sleep-tight/
