There's a place I travel more these days <br />It's called, Memory Lane. <br />Visiting all the times, of memories stored <br />and reliving them over in my mind again. <br /> <br />It doesn't take much to trigger one up <br />they just seem to come at will. <br />Of places times and old forgotten faces <br />but my memory, remembers them clearly still. <br /> <br />The times my Mother hugged me <br />or the times she swatted my backside. <br />Of memories some painfull, but yet <br />they're those gaps of lifes, in-between filling lines. <br /> <br />They take you to some far off vision <br />of what you thought was forgot. <br />But believe me when I tell you friend <br />they are just unraveling memories knots. <br /> <br />They'll hit you when least expected <br />like a wave rushing up to shore. <br />And then hang on, your in for the ride of your life! <br />Because here comes one memory more! <br /> <br />I never had these when I was young <br />because I think I was just making them. <br />I now love to go drive down memory lane <br />and then, drive back up again!<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-place-called-memory-lane/
