In the season of Fall <br />Mother Nature gave a Ball <br />Invited all the trees <br />That swayed gently in Summer’s breeze <br />The Oaks dressed in golden yellow <br />The Aspens wore orange mellow <br />The Maples wouldn’t be out done <br />So they came arrayed in crimson <br />The Autumn Wind played the tune <br />As they frolicked under the Harvest Moon <br />Until Jack Frost said it must end soon. <br />In glorious splendor they did dance <br />Sadly November was their last chance <br />One final brilliant display <br />Before the Winter snows lay.<br /><br />Nancy Chambers<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fall-ball/
