The ant fell in love with the grasshopper <br />The grasshopper said, No way! <br />All you want to do is farm the town <br />I just want to hop around and play <br /> <br />You take everything so seriously <br />Cutting paths and gathering leaves <br />No I say, just go away <br />I’m missing out on my day! <br /> <br />The ant brough the grasshopper a rose <br />It carried it upon its back <br />He said, Girl, you brighten my world <br />Am I now on the right track? <br /> <br />She said, NO! I don’t want no rose! <br />You must be blind I say! <br />You must be blind, the blind ant kind! <br />Now please just go away! <br /> <br />The ant brought the grasshopper a spider leg <br />He had fought and won on the battlefield <br />She said, Oh dear! , I don’t want that near <br />No, no, no, I say still! <br /> <br />The ant brought her a mulberry branch <br />Filled with ripe and juicy leaves <br />She said, Hmmm, They do look good <br />Why can’t you just leave me be! <br /> <br />He said, But I am so in love with you <br />I don’t know what else to do <br />She handed him her glasses and said, Put these on <br />Maybe now you will see the truth! <br /> <br />He said, Oh my!
