when i go fishing <br />i am always reminded <br />of the fish in the pond <br />and the hook, line <br />and sinker <br /> <br />the bait is this worm <br />this shrimp <br />and objective is always <br />the fish <br /> <br />in there <br />one drinks so much silence <br />by the pond <br />i see the ripples <br />i see the shadows of fins <br />i drink so much silence <br />i fathom so much depth <br /> <br />i might have missed the elusive fish <br />losing my worm and my shrimp <br /> <br />what i bring home is this inner peace <br />and so i never mind the shadows of the fins<br /><br />RIC S.
