Why do I do the things I do? <br />Saying the things I say <br />Letting the devil cloud my view <br />Walking his evil way <br /> <br />Too long has Satan held me blind <br />Hindering from life’s goal <br />Whilst God can see my troubled mind <br />The aching of my soul <br /> <br />My suffering my deep distress <br />The cancer in my heart <br />My wayward past I must confess <br />And seek a brand new start <br /> <br />I know He wants the best for me <br />For this He sent His Son <br />I know He wants to set me free <br />From evil things I’ve done <br /> <br />I need to change I will repent <br />I seek God’s Guiding Light <br />I’m trusting in The One He sent <br />To help me win the fight <br /> <br />So Lord my God now hear my prayer <br />Please hear these words I say <br />That I through Christ may reap life’s share <br />Consider my plea today <br /> <br />Consider this wretched heart o Lord <br />This wayward soul of sin <br />From Heaven, send Your flaming Sword <br />Burn swift the filth within <br /> <br />Cast down each stone of Satan’s tower <br />Shut tight the devil’s doors <br />Through faith I’m trusting Jesus power <br />To make me truly Yours.<br /><br />Michael P.
