I haven't been a Christian for very long <br />For I found Jesus in the year, '1973.' <br /> <br />And since I've been walking with the Lord <br />He's made a different <br />And more special person out of me. <br /> <br />He's told me of where He was born <br />He's also shared in His crucifixion on Calvary. <br />Oh, I don't know what I would have done with my life <br />If I didn't have Him living now inside of me. <br /> <br />He's given me His body and blood <br />In remembrance of that final day. <br />When a man Jesus called His Disciple and friend <br />Sold Him and the king's men took my Jesus away. <br /> <br />He's shared His last words on the cross with me <br />And shared the forgiveness <br />Of the men crucified next to Him. <br />How could a man other than the King of King's? <br />Give such a priceless gift when His was about to end? <br /> <br />I am proud that I surrendered to Jesus <br />on that day so many years now ago. <br />And if I had to do it all over again <br />I would gladly not hesitate to my Jesus, go. <br /> <br />By; Linda Winchell <br />Copyright: 2009<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/being-a-christian/
