Speaking in simple language it is nice to be nice <br />In the way we treat others we do have a choice <br />For a nasty person one doesn't have to go far <br />But one thing of them they know who their friends are <br />Such people do seem just plain bullies to me <br />But in their obvious flaws great strength their friends do see <br />Even rude to people they cannot claim to know <br />Their arrogance and insensitivity in their ruthlessness show <br />Their kind sad to say too often I do meet <br />For one or two like them live on every street <br />Of their narcissistic ways one can't help but feel aware <br />With them I have nothing in common to share <br />Though nice people outnumber them by one hundred to one <br />'Tis nice to be nice when all is said and done.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/tis-nice-to-be-nice/
