As I look at the picture of us once more <br />I can’t help but ask myself why <br />You are the one I truly adore <br />So why did I say goodbye <br /> <br />I tasted your lips on a silent night <br />Your hand held in mine <br />We held on to our love so tight <br />So what broke a love so divine <br /> <br />Shall I throw the picture away <br />Or burn it while I can <br />Cos when I said I was okay <br />Was when the pain truly began <br /> <br />I tell myself this love is untrue <br />For it holds nothing in its pain <br />But every single memory I keep of you <br />Is a scar that will forever remain <br /> <br />A tear rolls down when I try to forget <br />The fake smiles which we exchanged <br />These scars are filled with nothing but regret <br />As well as the love that will never change <br /> <br />But do you feel the pain I feel <br />Are we two of a kind <br />The love we shared, was it unreal <br />Or was it just senselessly blind <br /> <br />Will I ever see you again <br />Or does it truly end here <br />How much more must go in vain <br />To prove that I was sincere <br /> <br />But with this photo in my hand <br />I’ll never truly let go <br />Call me a fool, but please understand <br />That I love you more than you know<br /><br />Anders Lim<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/tainted-memory/
