It’s toward the end of summer <br />There’s a change now in the air <br />It’s really quite subtle, however <br />The weather is still rather fair <br /> <br />But everything is at its peak <br />And starting to change a bit <br />It was a perfect summer though <br />To me it was quite a hit <br /> <br />Flower blooms are getting less and less <br />The vegetable garden is spent <br />My herb garden is overflowing <br />The basil, thyme and the mint <br /> <br />I’m ready now for the next season <br />For the fall with all its changes <br />A pallet of reds, yellows and browns <br />As Mother Nature rearranges!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/end-of-summer-3/
