A photo lens opens its eye
It’s that unique time of day
When the light is picture perfect
As the sun leans down
And kisses the horizon
The glistening wet sand
Reflecting like jewels
The waves creep in
To grab its bounty
Red orange stains smeared
In the distance sky
Brushed by strokes
Of a calming breeze
Salty air stirs my senses
Ancient sailing ships
Float by as eye candy
Against a majestic backdrop
Hands quiver to release the shutter
Capturing this hallowed event
Of course it’s blurred
I rush a shallow breath and hold
Freeze the frame and shoot
There, I got it for all prosperity
The magic hour comes and goes
The shade is drawn
A twinkling eye winks
As the first star appears

Alfred Ramos

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/magic-hour/
