In eyes as clear as the air I breathe, I saw God. <br />I removed all the years and the cataract of life, and I saw God <br /> <br />I saw God in the father that stayed. <br />I saw God in the mother at prayer, believing in the invisible. <br />I saw God behind closed doors. <br />I saw God remove doors. <br />I saw God in a Green card, <br />that gave journey from nothing, <br />to infinite possibilities. <br /> <br />I saw God in the artistes who are blessed with skill <br />and chooses to do God's will <br />Instead of paying the bill- <br />Through his art forms are glazed, <br />He does God's will. <br /> <br />I saw God in the guy who loved the girl <br />with a passion that could set snow on fire: <br />and yet, before the marriage, beyond and below the lips <br />HE DID NOT GO. <br />I saw God in the man who risk his life for a friend. <br />I saw God in the man who gave his life for a stranger. <br />I saw God in the friend that forgave. <br />I saw God in the water, and I saw God in the trees - <br />I saw God in the way they relate to each other. <br />I saw God in the purity of babies (they just came from him) <br />I saw God in spontaneity, even so, <br />I refuse to believe that I spontaneously came to be. <br /> <br />I saw God in fear <br />I saw God in laughter <br />I saw God in joy <br />I saw God in sorrow <br /> <br />I looked up and I saw God in the sky. <br />I looked down and I saw God on the Ground. <br />I looked to my side and I saw God in familiar faces... <br /> <br />Copyright © 2009 Leslie Alexis<br /><br />Leslie Alexis<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-saw-god-3/
