This dawn is a wonderful dawning <br />Fluffy clouds dance to a tune <br />An expanse of bright gold and yellow <br />Enhances the wonder of June. <br /> <br />The borders of flowers blend together <br />Sparkling in the summertime glow <br />And the air is so fresh this morning <br />Cheering one's heart, ever so! <br /> <br />A stillness and calmness within me <br />Prompts a poetical lay, <br />And my words flow gently and sweetly <br />As birds hearken to all that I say. <br /> <br />Today brings an old-fashioned picture <br />A Van Gogh antique makes me swoon, <br />And I feel just like singing loud praises <br />To God ~ for the beautiful glory of June.<br /><br />Joyce Hemsley<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-beauty-of-june/
