It's a drag race of a different sort on the streets of Washington, DC.<br /> <br />Dozens of drag queens in elaborate costumes ran, tottered, shuffled and otherwise made their way down the road in the annual "High Heel Drag Queen Race".<br /> <br />But for some competitors it was no problem to mix speed with stillettos.<br /> <br />5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED DRAG QUEEN SAYING:<br /> <br />"I've been running in these things since I was a little little boy, so I've got this down. I've got this down."<br /> <br />Thousands of enthusiastic spectators cheered from the sidelines.<br /> <br />UPSOUND: "You, yes you! Come here!"<br /> <br />The event has been part of the Halloween festivities in the nation's capital since 1986 to the delight of some local residents.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) SPECTATOR VON DAVIS SAYING:<br /> <br />"You not only get to come out and see this, but you get to socialize, mingle some.
