The alarm clock rings by my bed, <br />I sit straight up and bang my head. <br />Why is the alarm ringing at all, <br />Look what I'm doing to my wall. <br /> <br />There's a bump rapidly growing on my pate, <br />And my alarm clock I am learning to hate. <br />It always goes off at the wrong time, <br />And remains silent when it should chime. <br /> <br />I'm going to throw it in the trash, <br />Or take it to the pawn shop for some cash. <br />Or maybe I'll just give it a healthy whack, <br />By now the store won't take it back. <br /> <br />There it goes ringing again, <br />You know maybe I should'nt complain. <br />At least it got me up on time, <br />Now I won't be way behind. <br /> <br />7/8/10 Alton Texas<br /><br />Juan Olivarez<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alarm-clock-7/
