Today, I really needed my mommy, <br />But she was nowhere to be found. <br />I cried for her, but she still didn't come, <br />So, I tried not making a sound. <br /> <br />Being quiet didn't work, so I screamed, <br />Screamed louder than ever before, <br />Then I screamed one more time to be sure <br />And I sprawled myself out on the floor. <br /> <br />She still didn't come, but in the mean time <br />A man happened by and inquired: <br />"What makes today such an awful, bad day? " <br />I told him, although I felt tired: <br /> <br />"My best friend moved out of town yesterday, ' <br />I said. "And I woke feeling sick. <br />"I have to wash the car AND mow the lawn; <br />"Even though, as I said, I'm sick." <br /> <br />The man agreed this is an awful, bad day, <br />A day that a boy needs his mom. <br />"Although, " he said, "you are about fifty years old." <br />And he said it with certain aplomb.<br /><br />Hm.
