All Alone <br /> <br />In this cold wet, lonely, empty room <br />Filled with darkness and the gloom <br />I'm looking at the blank walls <br />Praying someone, anyone will call <br /> <br />Waiting for a smiling face <br />Just to take me out of this place <br />All there is to see is emptiness, <br />All there is to feel is loneliness <br /> <br />Desperation attacks my heart <br />It's literally tearing me apart <br />I just don't know what I feel <br />All I know is that's it's real <br /> <br />Same sensations every damn day <br />How can I wipe these feelings away? <br />What is it that has caused me to be so far down? <br />When they're so darn many new people around <br /> <br />Acquaintances I call my friends <br />Not a one of them, can I depend <br />We get along well but it's all a game <br />I like them but it's still the same <br /> <br />Because they're all set in their ways <br />So there is no room for me to play <br />What would happen if I cried <br />Wouldn't everyone just pass me by? <br /> <br />What would happen if I was down? <br />Would anyone then come around? <br />Or would they go on to another? <br />Coming to me would be a bother <br /> <br />Maybe the problem is just me <br />Because I don't know who I should be. <br /> <br />Jim 1955<br /><br />James Casey<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/all-alone-12/
