I push, push, push, <br />until I fall, fall, fall, <br />knowing I'm empty, <br />it's hard to stand tall. <br />Fighting an enemy, <br />breaching my walls, <br />no sight of safety ahead, <br />I still fall, fall, fall. <br />Round up the pessimists, <br />fire at the head, <br />fill my mind with emptiness, <br />desperately in need of someone to call a friend. <br />Emptiness, loneliness, <br />everything in between, <br />I must respect these boundaries, <br />everything is easier in my dreams. <br />Losing control to <br />these doubting thoughts, <br />I'll never be good enough, <br />sometimes I wish I never fought. <br />My faith has dried up and run out, <br />I'm running low on things to say, <br />there is everything to say to you, <br />catch me in a better place, on a better day. <br />This poem I write, <br />isn't a cry for support <br />I'm showing you my weakness, <br />this is how I fall short. <br />These absent minded thoughts, <br />the things I thought I heard you say, <br />over analyzing every little piece, <br />makes me fade away. <br />Jumping to conclusions, <br />building up four walls <br />creating flawed designs, <br />I fall, fall, fall.<br /><br />Isaak DeMaio<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fall-fall-fall/
