Okay I'm done with pretending, <br />acting like I don't care, <br />when yet I do, <br />hence every minute I stare. <br /> <br />I won't try saying, <br />that you don't mean a thing, <br />when yet you mean the world, <br />in which cries for you love to bring. <br /> <br />The world needs you, <br />as do I, <br />which is why I never, <br />want to say good-bye. <br /> <br />Saying good-bye to you, <br />is like saying good-bye to rain, <br />and all that would be left, <br />is hurt and pain. <br /> <br />As you know, <br />what I feel for you is strong, <br />and It will never, <br />feel wrong. <br /> <br />Just knowing, <br />that you'll be there, <br />gives me all the more, <br />reasons to care. <br /> <br />You're the smile, <br />I'll wear this day, <br />and I'll follow you, <br />every step of the way. <br /> <br />It's like a fairy tale, <br />written for you and me, <br />but in the end, <br />the two can't be. <br /> <br />Romeo and Juliet, <br />in modern time, <br />although without, <br />the death and rhyme. <br /> <br />I've spend a long time, <br />dreaming of you, <br />I know it seems foolish, <br />but it's completely true. <br /> <br />I dream about you, <br />to many times to add, <br />even though one day, <br />I'll be broken and sad. <br /> <br />I know that one day, <br />I must give up on you, <br />but until then, <br />I'll stay true.<br /><br />Katherine Bryce<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/pretending-35/
