From mountains old I hear your call, <br />In winters nights I feel your touch, <br />Deep within the love is too much, <br />Tears of pain make me crawl, <br /> <br />A fire burns at night, <br />I see a bush alight, <br />A longing for peace and quiet, <br /> <br />In your heart I hide safe and warm, <br />Your love keeps me until dawn, <br />Daylight brings a chance for redemption, <br />A lost life, now in resurrection, <br /> <br />The spirit runs deep within, <br />Filling me up to the brim, <br />I remember now, I am safe tonight, <br />Spirit's fire burns bright, <br /> <br />I keep on walking, never to flee, <br />For you are always with me, <br />When the desert is dry and I thirst, <br />You find a way to fill my cup first, <br /> <br />When I forget where I am, <br />You test my love of the Lamb, <br />Bringing me back gently to love, <br />One day you will show me the Dove, <br /> <br />You ask me to keep my faith a bit longer, <br />When I feel weak you make me stronger, <br />Keeping me ready to go home, soon, <br />Come take me away today! <br /> <br />But If the earth begins to shake and tremble, <br />If the sea should rise and towers fall, <br />Then I shall remain steadfast through it all, <br />Always ready to answer your call! <br /> <br />06 June 2012<br /><br />David Andre' Klopper<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/burning-bush-6/
