It screams in my ears when I wake, <br />When I sleep, I see it clear <br />When I walk, I feel it closer <br />When I sit, I see it disappear <br />My shadow is in a shadow. <br /> <br />The shadow in my shadow <br />Has confused my shadow <br />My shadow is no-longer <br />The shadow that I adored <br />It now lives a shadowed life <br />A way from myself <br />I feel lonely, for my shadow <br />Is in another shadow. <br /> <br />I sit alone to watch my shadow <br />Away talking to a strange shadow <br />Inside the shadow there is a shadow <br />Combined they confuse my shadow <br />I run to my own made show of a shadow <br />Thinking my shadow has no power to show <br />My people don't believe in losing a shadow <br />They do not even embrace a new shadow <br />They fight day out day in with unknown shadow <br /> <br />I think to myself, this ugly shadow <br />Has swayed my shadow away from self <br />am lonely a show beneath my lovely shadow <br />To my realization, my shadow embraces other shadow <br />More than I embrace the value of other people a show <br />I fight for no reason, I kill my fellow human <br />Without proper dialogue we draw boundaries <br />Human fellows becoming enemies to shadow <br />A lesson to myself from the teacher shadow <br />Always never recognizing the value of humanity <br />A least a last, I now think to my self sense shadow.<br /><br />Ombuge M Moses<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-shadow-in-my-shadow/
