I looked in the mirror, and i saw a stranger waiting <br />She smiled at me like a long lost soul mate greeting <br />I saw her eyes, they once held my youthful dreams <br />I witnessed her tears, they wet my coarse cheeks <br /> <br />Her gray hairs told the story of my struggles <br />Her nose bridge carried the weight of my spectacles <br />Her wrinkled face drew the portrait of my existence <br />Her lips gently curved and shared my experience <br /> <br />The stranger in the mirror looked so alike me <br />In her sweetened sorrows i found the flavour of my life <br />I stepped back to see her in full light <br />And that's when i found a new deeper insight<br /><br />Dechen Doma Sherpa<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/crow-s-feet/
