life is fleeting <br /> <br />passes swiftly by <br /> <br />every soul is born to die <br /> <br />every moment soon will pass <br /> <br />this earthly life does not last <br /> <br />where are we to go from here <br /> <br />the end of life we hold so dear <br /> <br />every one of us will perish <br /> <br />as will those we love and cherish <br /> <br />life is fleeting <br /> <br />does not last <br /> <br />into darkness will we be cast <br /> <br />or into a light so warm and bright <br /> <br />with long lost loved ones in our sight <br /> <br />some believe in heaven and hell <br /> <br />some believe in nothing <br /> <br />some have died and come back to tell <br /> <br />some saw heaven some saw hell <br /> <br />but each passing soul saw something <br /> <br />some say the light is blue <br /> <br />some say it is white <br /> <br />some said darkness was beckoning <br /> <br />some simply followed the light <br /> <br />one day death will come <br /> <br />all that lives will sucumb <br /> <br />back to choas of which we came <br /> <br />or cast into an eternal flame <br /> <br />some say hell is a frozen lake <br /> <br />not hot but very cold <br /> <br />not one of us wants to find out <br /> <br />and if i may be so bold <br /> <br />some are what i call sheeple <br /> <br />believing all they're told <br /> <br />how did God come to exist <br /> <br />an end of something that makes sense <br /> <br />but no beginning <br /> <br />i cannot conceive <br /> <br />but thats what some believe <br /> <br />how did God come to be <br /> <br />its far too complicated for you and me <br /> <br />where are our souls to go <br /> <br />perhaps we are not meant to know<br /><br />Lori Hopkins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/journey-of-souls/
