I longed to paint my yesterday <br />The past that left a sweet memory <br />So I sat down on the carpeted grass <br />And started to swipe my coloured brush <br /> <br />While I am busy working on the canvas <br />I felt the cold wind and its gentle touch <br />And that makes me hunger to a pretty glance <br />The time that I gave my first and last dance <br /> <br />I closed my eyes and stopped for a while <br />As I tried to evoked his sweet sweet smile <br />When we both walked on the sacred aisle <br />Holding each other while we dressed in style <br /> <br />Then a tune of winsome music came <br />Trying to find me where I am <br />I like the rhythm, I love its melody <br />How it makes my heart beat so nippy <br /> <br />I slowly opened my eyes <br />Carefully whispered his name trice <br />Hoping that his soul will joyfully arise <br />After I tossed our rings like a dice <br /> <br />I stood up from the grass <br />Then set aside my canvas <br />And while the music was still in play <br />I danced with the wind smiling and gay <br /> <br />And when I saw the fantastic sinking of the sun <br />I vividly remember the blissful years that gone <br />Yesterday's memory, yesterday's fun <br />Happiness we have shared, those witty things we've done<br /><br />Catherine Agunat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/yesterday-s-memory-yesterday-s-fun/
